First of all this quote at a first glance seems very negative and pessimistic, suggesting that the speaker has no more feelings or have gave up om the idealism of love entirely, making them unsuseptible to love from others. Therefore the likening to watering a dead flower, a seemingly useless action. However, even dead flowers might have a chance to bloom once more with the proper care and conditions, to put it into simpler terms, you are always deserving of love. It is just a matter of who and what the other person is doing to you. You might feel like love is so out of reach and that it might never ever happen to you but you should always keep an open mind ♡. In life a lot of things are unconfirmed, we shouldn't just say things as if they are set in stone, like there are never going to change and who knows?
